Wild Spanish Mustangs aka Banker Horses of the Outer Banks of North Carolina
The wild horses of the Currituck Outer Banks have survived nearly 500 years of fierce Nor’easters and hurricanes. They are truly representative of the Outer Banks spirit – untamed and rugged – and are an integral part of what draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the northern beaches every year. BEAUTIFUL!!!! This reminds me of when I was I child, fishing off the beach with my father on the Virginia/North Carolina line. He lives on Back Bay, we would go across the bay, by boat,10 miles, then walk 2 miles across sand dunes to fish in the Atlantic. We would always see the wild horses!!!! Definitely brings back great childhood memories!!!! Thank you Kim!!!
