Artist's Description

The evolution of the peppered moth over the last two hundred years has been studied in detail. Originally, the vast majority of peppered moths had light colouration, which effectively camouflaged them against the light-coloured trees and lichens which they rested upon. However, because of widespread pollution during the Industrial Revolution in England, many of the lichens died out, and the trees that peppered moths rested on became blackened by soot, causing most of the light-coloured moths, or typica, to die off from predation. About Kim Galluzzo

Kim Galluzzo

I've been taking pictures as a hobby for years and over the last several I've been told I really should try and sell! Well, here I am... !!! I grew up in Massachusetts USA and now live in North Carolina. I have a passion for all wildlife and anything Mother Nature as you will see in my photos! My new love the last couple of years is "Horses" of all kinds... helping out, when I can with advocating for the "American Wild Horses & Abroad" through out to help keep them Wild & Free and not used for monetary gain nor meat! Next, I need to upgrade to a DSLR! Most pics were taken with an Olympus SP 590uz Digital. If anyone has one for sale, let me know or opinions on what to buy :) I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking...
